Human Movement Project Fiscally Sponsored Artist

From the Artists:
November 2025
Dear friends, family, and fans,
Can you believe that The Click is now in our fifth season?! What started as an experiment has become a fully fledged organization! Here are just a few steps we made this summer toward sustainability:
-
We became a registered business in the city of Boston.
-
We updated our financial systems to reflect our independence. No more financial umbrella: The Click can cut and cash checks, and has our very own landing page through our new fiscal sponsor, Human Movement Project.
-
We paid ourselves administrative stipends for the first time in our collective’s young history. In the 2024-25 season, our administrative labor totaled about 550 hours and we were able to pay ourselves just under $14/hr for that time.
So many metrics of success in the performing arts relate to the artistic products created, but there are many invisible aspects of producing those end deliverables. In taking the time to build out the back end of this business, we have invested deeply in the well being of each member of The Click, in the long term feasibility of The Click, and in the quality of our future educational and performance-based offerings to our community. Now is not the time to rest on our laurels: we are keeping this momentum going as we launch our Fall 2025 Small Gifts Campaign!
During the month of November, we aim to raise $2500 via gifts of $10-299 through our fiscal sponsor, Human Movement Project - and yes all donations are tax-deductible! Can you help us reach our goals? *If you are interested in making a larger contribution, consider joining our Foundation Circle! Email bostonclicknotclique@gmail.com for more information.
Thank you for your continued support!
With love,
Angelina Benitez, Katrina Conte and Kristin Wagner

A Fiscally Sponsored Project of Human Movement Project
Spearheaded in 2021, The Click is an experiment in organization, connection, and collaboration among a group of like-minded creative spirits living, making, teaching, and studying in the Greater Boston area. We are a group of dancers whose primary medium of physical expression is through contemporary forms but who dabble and play in many modes of creativity. Whether we spend our time sliding along the marley of a dance studio, weaving fibers, painting, or writing poetry, we are each deeply invested in answering the universally complex question that might play across your mind as well: who am I and what am I doing here?
The Click contributes to the consistent presence of creativity in Boston and beyond by: educating pre-professional youth dancers, professional adult dancers, and the dance-curious of any age; performing original creations several times a year at a variety of venues - both traditional and non-traditional - across Massachusetts, New England, and beyond; and investing in the curiosity of those new to dance and/or new to the Boston area by maintaining an open, inclusive, and accessible community of individuals eager and enthusiastic to share resources, feedback, tips and tricks, or a simple hello.
Since its inception, The Click has maintained multiple weekly drop-in classes for a variety of levels, in addition to special workshops and events geared toward community engagement in relation to our professional projects. The Click has held residencies at The Foundry through the Anchor Partner program and at The Dance Complex through the BLOOM Residency program, and has partnered with private youth studios, Boston-area elementary schools, senior centers, and more to bring our unique education programs to a variety of populations. The Click has been awarded grants and other recognition from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, The Boston Foundation, the New England Foundation for the Arts, the Cambridge Community Foundation, and a number of local cultural councils in the Boston area.
